How Global Markets Pte. Ltd. collects, uses, discloses and protects personal data.

Last updated 25 August 2026.

Who we are

Global Markets Pte. Ltd. is a company incorporated in Singapore. This notice explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect personal data in accordance with the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).

We work with institutional and professional counterparties. We do not provide financial services to retail investors, and we do not accept deposits or hold client assets.

What we collect

We collect personal data that you provide to us directly, including your name, the institution you represent, your role, your business contact details, and the content of any message or document you send us.

When you use this website we also collect limited technical data, such as your IP address and browser type, through server logs. This site does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

In the course of a mandate we may receive personal data about representatives of counterparties from those counterparties themselves, from public registers, or from professional advisers.

Why we use it

We use personal data to respond to enquiries, to assess and carry out mandates, to conduct due diligence and know-your-counterparty checks, to organise institutional engagements and investor programmes, to meet legal and regulatory obligations, and to maintain our own records.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for consumer marketing.

Who we share it with

We may disclose personal data to counterparties and their advisers where that disclosure is necessary to progress a transaction, to professional advisers acting for us, to service providers who support our operations under confidentiality obligations, and to regulators, law enforcement or courts where we are required to do so by law.

Transfers out of Singapore

Our work runs between Africa and Asia, so personal data may be transferred outside Singapore. Where we transfer personal data overseas we take steps to ensure the recipient is bound to a standard of protection comparable to the PDPA, as required by section 26 of the Act.

How long we keep it

We retain personal data for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected for, and thereafter for the period required by applicable legal, regulatory, accounting and record-keeping obligations. When it is no longer required for any legal or business purpose, we cease to retain it.

How we protect it

We apply administrative, technical and physical measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the data, including access controls, encryption in transit, and confidentiality obligations on the people who handle it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights

Subject to the exceptions in the PDPA, you may request access to the personal data we hold about you and information about how it has been used or disclosed in the past year, and you may request correction of any error or omission. You may also withdraw consent to our continued use or disclosure of your personal data, on reasonable notice, though doing so may prevent us from continuing to work with you.

We will respond to requests within the timeframes set out in the PDPA. We may charge a reasonable fee for an access request, and will tell you the amount before proceeding.

Contacting our Data Protection Officer

Requests, questions and complaints about personal data should be addressed to our Data Protection Officer at hello@globalmarkets.sg. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Commission of Singapore.
